COLLABORATE WITH MariusMy career as a television presenter started way back in 1998 when I joined M-Net as a continuity presenter and I have remained in front of the camera in some way, shape or form ever since. I guess that is how most people would classify me – as a television presenter - but that’s just one of the many professional services I offer. For simplicity purposes, I’ve split these into THREE channels:

Torque Marius - EVERYTHING car related – Launches, Reviews, Test Drives and Motor Racing

My mates think my job is the best - testing and reviewing all the latest motor cars to hit the market - I won’t lie, it is pretty cool. I literally fell into the driver’s seat back in 2008 when I was appointed as the Anchor Presenter on Ignition - South Africa’s first and only dedicated motoring TV channel. After a fantastic 12 year drive, it was time for new a new garage and fresh challenges…so yes, expect to see a lot of car related content on my social channels.
21 years (and counting) in front of the camera so I come with tons of LIVE broadcast experience across varied genres and subject matter: motoring, lifestyle, sport. And I have been fortunate to work on international projects too, like Ken Block’s Gymkhana Grid and World Rally Cross as presenter and commentator.
With so many years in the industry, I have an innate understanding of the production process. I have always been fascinated with how a story / event / launch / production comes together - all those moving parts to manage and oversee - so setting up my own business, MR Productions, has allowed me to channel my creativity and offer clients a true 360 solution, whether it be creating content, conceptualizing concepts or managing the entire execution and roll out. International clients like Top Gear LIVE, The Grand Tour, Soccerex and the Kyalami 9 Hour have used my unique and diverse skill set to create, produce, manage, co-ordinate and oversee their productions here in South Africa.
My profile has afforded me a wonderful career doing the thing I probably love the most - talking! Whether as a Master of Ceremonies, Facilitator, Host or as a Guest Speaker, there is nothing quite like the buzz of interacting with an audience. 21 years…the CV is long, varied and international.
